I saw the moon and you filled my mind
Shined so bright, like your loving eyes
Hung so perfectly in the midnight black
A sliver of something beautiful

Danced with the stars on heaven's clouds
Yet so still as mother earth ran about
Perfect shade of vanilla white
A distant reminder of you

I saw the moon and you filled my mind
because it holds a sense of honesty & truth
like my feelings for you -- pure, wholesome
